Terms of use

Last updated October 28, 2026. A starting version, to be reviewed before wide launch.

What this site is

Fair Price gives estimates of typical costs for information only. It is not a repair shop, not a contractor, not a quote, not legal advice and not a guarantee of any price. Actual prices vary by car, parts, shop, home and time.

Verdicts

A verdict compares a price you enter to our typical range. It is our statement about a number, not about any shop or person. A price outside the range is not wrong or unfair on its own. There can be good reasons.

Use of the site

• Do not enter names, phone numbers, VINs or other personal details into shared quotes.
• Do not submit false quotes or use the site to harm a business.
• Do not scrape the site or overload it.

Shared quotes

When you share a quote you confirm it is true as far as you know and you let us use it in grouped totals. We may reject any quote.

Recalls and safety

Recall data comes from NHTSA. It may be incomplete or late. For safety, confirm at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a dealer.

Links and partners

Fair Price is owned by the same operator as JunkRun and Snow Pass and says so where it links to them. Some links are affiliate links. See the disclosure.

Limits

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions made using the estimates.
