Questions to ask before you say yes

Can you do it yourself?

A moderate DIY on port injection; fuel is under pressure and flammable, so relieve pressure and avoid sparks.

Common questions

Can injectors just be cleaned?

Sometimes a professional cleaning restores flow. A failed or leaking injector needs replacing.

Why do direct injection engines cost more?

The injectors work at much higher pressure, cost more and are often harder to reach. They can also need coding to the engine computer after install.

Should I replace all of them?

Not always. If one has failed and the car has high miles, some shops suggest the full set to avoid a second visit. Ask for test results on the others first.
